The worst crash in Snow Rider isn’t the one that catches you by surprise. It’s the one you see coming while thinking, “I can definitely squeeze past that.”
I’ve wrecked a perfectly good run within touching distance of my high score because I wanted one more gift box. The box was tempting. The rock beside it was apparently nonnegotiable. A second later, my record was safe from improvement, and I was already reaching for restart.
That’s the hold this endless sledding game has on me. No leisurely sightseeing, no stopping to admire the snow. Your sled rushes downhill automatically, and your job is to keep that rapidly approaching tree from becoming your final destination.
