The Tree and Landscape Company is looking for an Assistant Manager to help with the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This person must be familiar with aspects of landscape maintenance including irrigation, operating equipment, cleanups, mowing, mulching, pruning, trimming, edging, weed-whacking, bed maintenance, fertilizing, chemical applications, etc.. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision while helping to direct maintenance crews in a safe and efficient manner. This position must also be able to review and approve all the administrative requirements for the crews. The Assistant Manager will predominantly be working in an office setting but they must be able to lift at least 50lbs and have the mobility to assist with equipment/material delegations at the start of each work day. The ACLU seeks a Temporary Legal Assistant to work in our Jackson office. The Legal Assistant will support our team of attorneys with a variety of tasks, including immigrants’ rights work. English and Spanish fluency, a keen eye for detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, and ability to process mail, email and voicemails efficiently and accurately are critical. Additional duties include drafting letters, emails and legal documents, scheduling, copying, scanning and filing case paperwork.
