Position Summary

The Café Supervisor at Southcable Cafe oversees the day-to-day operations of the café. This position is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising café staff, ordering café supplies as needed, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring that food, health, and safety regulations are adhered to at all times. The Café Supervisor acts as a key liaison between the Café and the Kitchen, making sure café coolers are stocked at all times and coordinating with kitchen team members to keep café food items stocked throughout the day.

Job Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the cafe
  • Hire and onboard new Baristas
  • Coordinate with vendors & F&B Management to order supplies as needed
  • Schedule cafe staff and ensure all staff are present and presentable
  • Restock and alert the kitchen when products are low
  • Step in as cashier or barista as needed
  • Ensure all equipment and the cafe as a whole is being cleaned properly
  • Provide leadership and training to employees
  • Converse with customers regarding questions, praises, and complaints
  • Assure compliance with Serv Safe and local health department guidelines

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of fast paced/casual restaurant/leadership experience preferred
  • Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
  • Passion for food and beverage
  • Must be TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) certified within 30-days of hire
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & make quick decisions
  • All skills that a Barista and Cashier are required of
