We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Team. This amazing person will create and manage accurate and consistent budgets throughout the Project Development phase that support company goals.
Evaluate plans and specifications.
Identify scopes of work to be performed by individual subcontractors and work that might be self-performed.
Assemble and distribute bid packages and track subcontractor responses.
Assist in maintaining Subcontractor contact lists and Unit Pricing database.
Perform take-offs and counts of various components of a project.
Identify areas where plans lack detail or are in conflict.
Prepare Requests For information (RFIs) for review by appropriate parties.
Communicate professionally with Architects and Owners, participate in budget presentations.
Research and provide various options and provide advice regarding complexity of construction and costs associated with various details.
Provide suggestions to reduce cost while maintaining design intent or aesthetic.
Vet subcontractor bids.
Understand complete scopes of work and how they are related to other, adjacent scopes, and ensure that there are no scope gaps between subcontractors.
Prepare a variety of budget analysis including in-house estimates to final budgets to be ultimately incorporated into the Contract Documents.
Build project schedules in MS Project.
Support in supervision, training, and quality control review of Assistant Estimator.
A minimum of THREE years of high-end residential construction estimating experience, preferably in the Jackson, WY and/or CA SF Bay Area.
College degree preferred but not required as long as industry-specific professional experience makes up for it.
Experience analyzing projects $5M+
Proficient with estimating software and MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and SmartSheets
Ability to coordinate with different levels of the team and management.
Ability to read blueprints and understand technical documents
Highly organized, energetic, focused, and detail-oriented.
Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Fast learner, with the ability to learn new software with ease
Highly resourceful problem solver.
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills: verbal, written, and visual.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Poised and mature attitude, always remaining calm under pressure.

Reliable and dedicated to the success of the team
Degree or Certification in Construction Estimating
Experience with Spectrum -or comparable- software
