Job Description

JOIN OUR TEAM!  The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club's Marketing Department is seeking our next Marketing & Events Manager!

The Marketing & Events Manager (MEM) will be directly involved with the logistical coordination, planning, administration, and production of the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club's (JHSC) major fundraising events.  The MEM is also involved with the management of JHSC’s CRM database (Salesforce).  This is a part-time, year-round, salaried position.  This position represents significant variance in seasonal hours as dependent on the calendar of events.  Seasonal workflow, expected hours, the potential of remote work, and tasks will be discussed & coordinated directly with the CMO.

The Marketing & Events Manager reports to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and works closely with the Executive Director (ED), CMO, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Program Directors (PD), and support staff. 

Duties and Responsibilities

(1) Events and Marketing

  • Work with CMO and Executive Team to:
    • Plan, coordinate, administer, and produce JHSC fundraising events:
      • Black Tie, Blue Jeans Ski Ball - Late September
      • Annual Ski & Gear Swap - Mid October
      • Pica’s Margarita Cup Adult Race League - January to March
      • Jackson Hole Downhill - Mid March 
      • Karen Oatey Pole Pedal Paddle - Late March
    • Execute event-specific marketing plans
    • Maintain and improve event sponsorships
    • Maintain and improve relationships with event partners, venues, and stakeholders
  • Manage website updates for event pages, sponsors, and volunteers
  • Help manage social media accounts
  • Track, manage and report on sponsorship solicitations in Salesforce

(2) Volunteers:

  • Solicit volunteers for fundraising events
  • Maintain and improve volunteer program for JHSC fundraising events
  • Track and manage volunteers in Salesforce

(3) Membership / Ski Club Card:

  • Work with CMO & COO to solicit, track, and manage annual membership discount program (“Ski Club Card”)
  • Manage updates and changes to online discount lists

(4)  Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant fundraising work experience
  • Significant event production experience
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com customer relationship management system (CRM)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Experience using social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google platform
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to manage individual workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with nonprofits preferred
  • Experience with silent and live auction fundraising preferred
  • Experience with donor relations preferred
  • Must be able to occasionally move equipment weighing up to 50lbs
