Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a leader of the housekeeping team, and provides a work environment that promotes integrity, fosters teamwork and ensures excellence throughout the House.  The Housekeeping team is expected to uphold the cleanliness, style, and attention to detail at the House.

Essential Job Functions

  • Check public and private areas to ensure cleanliness and proper engineering functions
  • Coordinate and schedule housekeepers
  • Fill in as a housekeeper when needed
  • Ensure proper stocking and ordering of supplies and equipment
  • Oversee all housekeeping issues
  • Motivate and train staff that strives for excellence
  • Walk through the building every day, coordinate with the maintenance department if any issues arise
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and the work of the housekeeping team
  • Conduct staff meetings
  • Coordinate billing of guest accounts

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., push a 100 lb cart, walk and stand for the entirety of the shift
  • Must be able to stand, sit, write, bend, push and pull carts and equipment to fulfil cleaning/inspection tasks
  • Communicate effectively in English and with the rest of the housekeeping team
  • Possess basic computer skills and ability to use the computer and other office equipment
  • Math skills and budgetary capabilities required
