Job Description

Freshies Lobster is finally coming to Jackson! We are opening a pop up shop in Jackson Whole Grocer and are looking for a Manager and cooks to join our team. This could potentially turn into a permanent job once we find a space. This will be a very simple menu with 4 items and very simple to prepare. 

Freshies is seeking experienced Managers to join our award winning restaurant concept now coming to Jackson, WY!   Freshies is a fast casual, fast paced, lobster roll company started by two New Englanders. Though Freshies is fast casual, we serve a high-end product and have high standards of quality, freshness, and cleanliness. This position will require the frequent lifting of 50 pounds or more and some long hours on your feet. Driving will also be required. The ideal candidate must have the following:

MANAGER JOB DUTIES: 

  • Represent the face of Freshies, ensuring we are giving the customers a great experience. 
  • Prepare food to Freshies standards in a fast and efficient manner
  • Picking up and putting away inventory as needed, keeping back stock organized and labeled for easy ordering
  • Reporting of all lobster receiving into spreadsheets, ensuring staff is doing this
  • Order and manage inventory, report to Lorin on lobster, bread and soup order
  • Line the staff out each morning/afternoon on their positions for the day, communicate with night shift lead 
  • Enforce proper food handling in compliance with health department
  • Performing daily inspections and periodic audits to check safety of equipment and to ensure that food is cooked properly;
  • Coach the staff on their daily side work, no one leaves until their side work is done
  • Weekly schedule out to staff by WEDNESDAY, while remaining w/in labor budget
  • If someone calls in finding someone in a fast manner to cover the shift or covering the shift 
  • Working events as needed to be the point person
  • Participating in training about standardized policies and conferring weekly with owner management about restaurant operations
  • Resolving complaints from customers in a polite, friendly manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Drivers License

-Clean driving record

-Manager Food Handlers, or be willing to get

-College Degree + 2 years food management experience 

-Experience managing 6 or more employees 

-Must know how to be a leader, not a boss

-Must be able to work with a diverse staff

COMPENSATION:

MANAGER:$26-$30/HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

COOK:$18-$22/HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
