Construction Site Supervisor

We need your help building affordable housing!

Working in coordination with the Construction Manager the Site Supervisor has ultimate responsibility for day-to-day construction activities on Teton Habitat's affordable housing projects. Our next project will be constructing 18 townhomes phased over four years starting this spring.  

This position includes a competitive hourly wage, full health benefits including vision and dental, generous time off, a retirement plan, and bonus structure.

Primary responsibilities of this position are:         

• Overall supervision of current and pending construction activities,
• Guiding and assigning daily construction tasks to Habitat team members and volunteers
• Enforce safety measures in accordance with industry-recognized best practices
• Coordination with construction manager for take-off, procurement & receipt of materials
• Preparation/coordination to receive volunteers on-site
• Preparation/coordination to receive sub-contractors on-site
• Adhere to construction timelines to ensure efficient and successful completion of projects on or ahead of schedule

Other duties include:

• Participate in volunteer activities & construction tasks on volunteer days
• Monitor site compliance with approved safety protocols
• Maintain site organization and orderliness
• Prepare for each work day with appropriately sized crews, tools and materials
• Coordinate billing cost codes with construction manager
• Participation in regular staff and construction committee meetings 
• Maintain mid-term job schedules (5-week schedule)
• Maintain construction standards in accordance with industry-approved protocols
• maintain current Competent Person safety qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have:

Two years of construction experience; a clear understanding of the mission of Habitat for Humanity; a demonstrated ability to manage a construction team; an interest and willingness to instruct volunteers in relevant aspects of the construction trade; an ability to adapt, problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
