Are you looking for a job that will positively impact your life? Teton Youth & Family Services is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Youth Counselor Staff as a dedicated night staff member. This position provides the opportunity to work in an active and challenging environment while helping youth to find their way to more fulfilling and constructive lives.
Position responsibilities: Promote the educational, social, and behavioral development of students. Assist students in class and with transitions to and from school, between classes, and between activities. Maintain a dialogue with the teachers, therapists and childcare staff regarding the students’ academic and behavioral progress and difficulties. Be open to the counsel of other members of the Red Top Meadows community and maintain a collaborative spirit in an effort to best meet the needs of the students.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and monitoring of student progress. Maintain an awareness of student special needs. Working with the special education teacher, classroom teachers, and childcare/classroom aides coordinate the daily delivery of special education services. Share any concerns related to the educational, social, and behavioral development of students with the special education and classroom teachers to refine the targeted instructional program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, patient, a good listener, energetic, and self-assured.
